It is different from a webpage which is more like a brochure. whereas a landing page is more persuasive.

Here are the checklist items we follow in crafting a landing page:

Firstly, your benefits have to be SMART- Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time-Bound.

Next, back up your claim. Provide a chart or a graph. Be factual by quoting your source.

Provide social proof to boost credibility like testimonials and media features.

Avoid using fake images. We like dealing with real humans so, use real images as much as possible.

Make your website mobile-friendly. Since most of your online visitors are going to be using their mobile phones, all images and text on your website should be seen clearly from mobile view.

Use SSL to provide more trust to the users.

Use basic security to stop robot spam and manually block IP addresses to stop human spam.

Your landing page copy should be conversational and readable. Everyone knows that online attention is very limited, so we have to sustain their attention.

Keep your landing page copy simplified and avoid jargon. It has to be objective and consistent. Try using a readability scale with grade 9 and below. That means your website is readable by a grade 9 student.
